Up Party Decorations: An Adventure-Themed Birthday, Styled Start to Finish

“Adventure is out there!” Disney Pixar’s Up turns a birthday into a whole journey — balloon-lifted houses, grape soda badges, Paradise Falls, and one very good dog named Dug. We styled a complete Up party from the table to the take-home favors, and the details tell the story. Below is every shot, with a caption and links to the same Up party decorations on our site.

The Hero Tablescape

Disney Pixar Up birthday party table with UP dinner plates, My Adventure Book placemats, house standees, Dug cupcakes, Carl and Ellie mailboxes, Paradise Falls coin jars, and rainbow balloon bunches.
Sky-high from the start: a full Up tablescape layered with character plates, balloon bunches, and Paradise Falls details.

Start with the table. We layered the cloud-blue Up Table Cover with cast-art 9″ Dinner Plates, “My Adventure Book” Placemats, and Lunch Napkins. DIY touches — Carl & Ellie mailboxes, “Paradise Falls” coin jars filled with gold chocolate coins, and balloon bunches at each seat — turn coordinated supplies into a fully realized scene.

The Balloon Backdrop & Happy Birthday Banner

Up party backdrop with a colorful balloon arch, a Happy Birthday balloon-letter banner, and the Up fabric wall banner featuring Kevin the bird.
A rainbow balloon arch frames the Up backdrop — instantly recreating Carl’s floating house.

Nothing says Up like a wall of balloons. A rainbow arch reads as Carl’s lifted house in seconds, and the Up Fabric Wall Banner anchors the space with Carl, Russell, Dug, and Kevin. Add the 6-foot Up Jointed “Happy Birthday” Banner — or a balloon-letter banner — and you’ve got an immersive, photo-ready focal point.

Plates, Napkins & the Grape Soda Touch

Close-up of an Up dessert plate showing the balloon-lifted house and an Up beverage napkin with Carl and Russell, styled with a grape soda bottle-cap pin.
Every detail counts: the iconic balloon house on the dessert plates, plus a grape soda “Ellie badge” on each napkin.

Up close, the Dessert Plates show the house drifting under a thousand balloons, while the Beverage Napkins feature Carl and Russell mid-adventure. Pinning a grape soda bottle cap — Ellie’s “Adventure Book” badge — onto each napkin is the kind of tiny detail guests remember.

The Wilderness Explorer Drink Station

Up party drink station with bottles wrapped in Wilderness Explorer badge labels, orange neckerchief ribbons, and colorful drinks chilling in a compass-stamped tin tub.
Badge-wrapped bottles and a compass tub turn the drink station into a Wilderness Explorer outpost.

Dress up the drinks and you double your décor. Wrapping bottles with Up Bottle Labels — finished with orange neckerchief ribbons and a Wilderness Explorer badge band — makes brightly colored water look straight out of base camp. A compass-stamped tub keeps everything ice-cold and on theme.

My Adventure Book & Paradise Falls

Up party detail with My Adventure Book, a Paradise Falls coin jar full of gold coins, and an Up napkin printed with Carl and Ellie photos beside a handwritten note.
The heart of the theme: an Adventure Book, a Paradise Falls coin jar, and a note from Ellie.

Up is as heartfelt as it is fun, so lean into the keepsake details. A “My Adventure Book,” a “Paradise Falls” jar of gold coins, and the Lunch Napkins printed with Carl and Ellie make sweet, photo-worthy vignettes — perfect for a “thanks for the adventure” moment.

Pin the Bottle Cap on the Wilderness Explorer

A theme-perfect twist on a classic: Pin the (grape soda) Bottle Cap on the Wilderness Explorer.

Build in some entertainment with the Up Pin-the-Tail Game — a Russell poster where kids pin a grape soda cap to earn their badge. It’s an easy, low-mess activity that fits the theme perfectly and keeps younger guests busy between cake and presents.

The Adventure Photo Booth

Grab a prop, strike a pose: an Up photo booth stocked with Carl, Dug, Kevin, and more.

Set out the Up Photo Props — Carl, Dug, Kevin, the balloon house, and a grape soda cap — with a simple “Photo Booth” sign, and guests will line up for pictures. Displayed in a tree-print tin, the props double as a tabletop centerpiece when no one’s posing.

House-Shaped Favor Boxes

Up house-shaped favor boxes tied with ribbon to balloon bunches on a blue table in front of an Up backdrop.
The cutest send-off: Carl’s house favor boxes, floating on their own balloon bunches.

End on the perfect note with Up Favor Boxes shaped like Carl’s house. Tie each to a small balloon bunch so they look like they’re floating, fill with treats or a Wilderness Explorer badge, and they pull double duty as décor and take-home favors.

Dug's Dessert Table

“Squirrel!” Dug-wrapped cupcakes with sky-blue frosting steal the dessert table.

Sweeten the table with the Up Cupcake Wrappers and Toppers — each cupcake becomes Dug, complete with collar and a happy face. Sky-blue frosting and a few grape soda accents complete the Paradise Falls feel without extra fuss.
