A Little Care Bears History

Care Bears were first introduced by American Greetings in 1982 through greeting cards and consumer products, and later an animated TV show — quickly becoming one of the world’s most endearing children’s properties. In 2019, the franchise relaunched with Care Bears: Unlock the Magic, the first series set outside Care-A-Lot, featuring Grumpy, Cheer, Share, Funshine, and Good Luck, along with new creatures called Whiffles (including Dibble, the team’s newest companion). Today, fans of all ages are still falling in love with these huggable bears.
